Somatics is challenging to describe in words.
The term "somatics" comes from the Greek root soma that translates as "the body in its wholeness."
Somatics engages the whole self towards personal and collective healing and transformation. This practice supports you to close the gap between your values and longings, and your actions. We explore the sensations and shapes that live in the body, support long-held contractions to unwind and release, and practice new skills that align with your intentions.
What we'll practice together:
-tuning in to sensation.
-navigating transition and change.
-finding center and choice under pressure.
-cultivating presence, purpose, and effectiveness.
-understanding and releasing patterns that are no longer supportive.
-deepening connection: with self, lovers, friends, family, community, and land.
-discerning skillful and loving boundaries.
-supporting your creative and spiritual practices.
-generating safety, resilience, pleasure, satisfaction, and joy.
and beyond!
